My first time in london

Here's a view from my plane landing into london. Only there for a short time but already saw the bridge, wembley stadium, the ferris wheel, the dome, big ben and the river, hahahaha. Landed 4:15pm their time and had to catch a connecting flight at 4:40pm. It literarily took us 25 minutes to get from one side of heathrow to the other. We were the last people on the flight and we sat separately thru out the trip. I'm typing this blog up on the shuttle on the way back to the terminal here in dulles. No yet over cause we still have to go thru customs, but I can almost feel myself sleeping in my own bed tonight. We're so spent.

Goodbye germany, hello london

After many many hours of standing in line trying to get on a flight out of germany, we finally got a confirmed booked flight to london then off to dulles airport that leaves in 20 minutes after missing 2 flights which weren't our fault. we'll be home at 9pm tonight instead of the original 2:30pm arrival of mr and mrs sadiarin. Stressed from all this nonsense, I just had to kick it for a lil bit with a nice cold beer here at our gate. So relaxing, I might get another one. Wish us luck!

Fog sucks, delays suck, stupid customer service sucks, lufthansa sucks, missing our connecting flight sucks, going on stand by for the next flight sucks. That is all.

We're officially homesick and ready to go back home (last blog in italy)

We did absolutely nothing today and just relaxed in our hotel room, hahaha. Guess we're tired out from all the walking and being a tourist. Totally done with italian food, gelatos, cappucinos, and saying "bon giorno", "prego", "gratzie", "ciao", "nove" and "cuante". Tired of smart cars, scooters, old buildings, cobblestone streets, churches everywhere, and peddlers selling these freaky looking silly putty mr potato head things. Tired of watching cnn live (only english speaking tv), futbol on every single channel, bidets, no ironing board nor iron in our hotel rooms, no clocks, no. We are ready to go back home. I'm going to famous daves once I get back and have me some good ol american bbq. Get sloppy and ishhhh. Signing out here in italy.

I hate trains

Our train from venice to turin has a train change here in milan. Half an hour of downtime at the station and another couple more hours on the train. Another half hour of seeing the same tabacchi, same forexchange, same bar chef express, same farmacia ads, and same scam artists trying to act like they're employees and helping you with your baggage for 5 euros, for the last time. What's worse, we couldn't figure out which platform our train to turin is on cause the big screen kept it blank. We did hear some announcement about torino and just followed a storm of people to the right platform, so we assume. Hopefully we're on the right train as I type this blog and we did ask a couple of passengers if we're on the right train and they said yes, but I hope they're not saying that to fool us. Wish us luck.

We saw a comedic play at the theater here in venice

Its called carnival. Its basically a history lesson about venice. Funny, cool effects with lighting and video, but it kinda dragged on too long. At least we got free food and champagne out of it. I feel cultured now, hahahaha. Holler!

Look at the size of this beer

1 liter of italian beer. We took a break from all the walking around and decided to refill with alcohol. The brits next to me were cheering my couragious efforts. Holler!

We went on a gondola ride around san marco italy

Pretty cool though a lil bit expensive. 80 euros for 35 minutes but well worth it. Saw mozarts apt, some of the back canals, and went on the canal grande. Our driver is funny cause he kept serenading "chuck norris" to us, hahahaha.

Played with the pigeons at piazza san marco

Damn these pigeons really are dependent on humans for food. I got pics and videos of me with pigeons chillin on my arm. I'll post those up on youtube when I get back home. We'll be back here tomorrow cause we're doing a couple tours for doge palace and the clock tower.

VENICE BABY VENICE!

Woke up today in our scary hotel room and took a cold shower cause there's no hot water. Then took a 30 minute (added after oscar's comment) bus ride to venice. Cars, scooters and trucks aren't allowed inside the city cause there's no roads, just the canals, so everyone parks in the same place near the main bus and train station. Surprisingly, the city is small. I think we can tour the whole city in a couple of days. We're gonna check out doge palace and basilica san marco today.

We finally checked in to our hotel in venice italy

Longgggg train ride from naples to venice. It took about 8 hours and it pretty much sucked. Our hotel is about 30 minutes away from downtown. Mannnn, the place that we're staying at looks like the haunted house at disneyworld. Our room is freaking scary as hell cause its got 12 foot high ceiling, old victorian deco, and a staircase that leads to an empty bookshelf. Guess we're sleeping with the lights on tonight, hahahaha. Holler!

Buffalo bill burger at mcdonalds in naples

We woke up this morning all late. We were supposed to wake up at 5am but ended up waking up at 7:40am. We missed the non reserved trains so we have to pay a 5 euro per person reservation fee for the next trains. Anyways, we took the jet boat from capri to naples this morning and surprisingly, the ride was less turbulent and less nauseatic than the first one we took a couple of days ago. We're now waiting for our train to venice and had to stock up on food since we probably wouldn't be able to eat til later tonight since its an 8 hour train ride. Ate a big ass burger which was ok and had some western fries, both of which not available in the us. Linh had a chicken sandwich and fries. Holler!
